San Antonio wins eighth straight

Tim Duncan had 18 points as seven different Spurs scored in double figures in San Antonio’s 99-95 win over the Pistons in Detroit.
The veteran centre was 7-of-17 from the field and also grabbed 13 rebounds as San Antonio moved to 20-9 on the year with their eighth consecutive victory and consolidated second place in the Western Conference behind Oklahoma City.
The Thunder jumped out to a 15 point half-time lead over the Utah Jazz and were never troubled as they cruised to a 111-85 triumph. James Harden came off the bench to lead Oklahoma City with 22 points.

The Memphis Grizzlies continued their up and down season with a 10-point win over the visiting Houston Rockets despite Kyle Lowry hitting a game-high 24 points. The former Villanova star was 7-of-16 from the field for the Rockets, but Memphis countered with 21 from Mike Conley and Rudy Gay and Marc Gasol combined for a further 38 points.
After losing five straight the Denver Nuggets won their second in a row with a 109-92 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Al Harrington started on the bench and was part of a 41 point effort from the reserves that helped lead the way.
The Spurs are 2.75 to win the NBA Championship, with the Thunder 3.25 and the Heat 3.25.
