Kevin Durant had 51 points and Russell Westbrook added another 40 as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Denver Nuggets in OT.
Durant was 19-of-28 including 5-of-6 from 3-point for his career high as the Thunder finally put away the Nuggets 124-118 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
Lost somewhat in Durant and Westbrook's combined 91 points was the performance of Serge Ibaka who had a triple-double blocking 11 shots and pulling down 15 rebounds to go with 14 points.
The road woes of the Los Angeles Lakers continued as they fell 102-90 to the Suns in Phoenix. LA is now just 5-11 on the road and remains two games behind the Clippers in the Pacific division. Steve Nash dished out 14 assists and Jared Dudley had 25 points as Phoenix snapped a four-game losing streak including Friday's 111-99 defeat at the Staples Center to these same Lakers.
Down in Houston, Kevin Lowry was an efficient 9-of-13 from the floor including 7-of-8 from beyond the arc for a game-high 32 points in leading the Rockets to a 101-85 victory over the Utah Jazz.
In the NBA on Monday the Chicago Bulls take on the Atlanta Hawks, the Hawks are 1.90 to win in the point spread (+10.5), while the Bulls can be backed at 1.90 in the point spread (-10.5).
