Pipe unsure on Grands Crus

David Pipe has expressed his frustration that Grands Crus won't get a pre-Cheltenham race at Newbury's rearranged fixture on Friday afternoon.
Declaring his disappointment that the card had been abandoned, he "applauds the organisers" for getting it on this week, but said: "I can't hide my frustration."
Grands Crus is 6.50 to win the Gold Cup at Cheltenham next month while Long Run can be backed at 2.75 and Kauto Star at 4.50.

Pipe said: "The whole card has been rescheduled, with the exception of the three-mile novices' chase in which we had Grands Crus. I cannot for the life of me see the sense in rescheduling a meeting and excluding one race!
"Consequently, we will now wait and go straight to the Cheltenham Festival in March. We had hoped to get another run into him for experience, but he will get plenty of practice at home between now and then."
He added: "I know that everyone is wanting to know which race he will be targeted at, but I can honestly say that as yet it is undecided.
"There are still four weeks to go until the Festival and plenty can happen in that time - needless to say, we will give the matter plenty of careful consideration and you can rest assured that we will make the decision that we feel is right for him."
