Meydan's Carnival fixtures have proved to be one of the highlights of a bleak UK winter with South Africa's top trainer Mike De Kock enjoying a brilliant series of results.
However, that sequence came to an end in the last fixture which was totally dominated by Godolphin.
But De Kock is looking ahead with great enthusiasm to the two remaining dates - Super Saturday on 10th March and World Cup night on the 31st of next month.

That was an exceptional run. And the further he goes, the better he'll get. He's still progressive and we have a nice future with him.

He is expecting exciting things in particular from Mickdaam whose effort in the UAE 2000 Guineas excited him. Despite carrying overweight, his charge was baulked for a clear run 300 metres out before running on well to finish a neck second to Kinglet.
Always Right is 7.00 to win the Grand National Trial this weekend while Junior is 1000.00 and Some Target 7.50.

Said the trainer: "That was an exceptional run. And the further he goes, the better he'll get. He's still progressive and we have a nice future with him."
Mickdaam's immediate programme will see him taking in the Al Bastakiya over 1900 metres on Super Saturday and then the UAE Derby on World Cup night.
The Dubai Trophy gave promise of better things ahead for Mutahadee, with De Kock commenting: "He was super-impressive. I still don't know how good he is and he's a very exciting horse. He will take his place in the Jebel Hatta over 1800 metres on the turf on Super Saturday and then the Dubai Duty Free on World Cup night."
